This iconic hotel has been an established part of LA culture for over 50 years. After a multi-million dollar renovation a several years ago, The Garland and their adjoining restaurant, The Front Yard, decided to refresh their merchandise and collateral.

Merchandise offerings were reimagined and a full system of playful products that capture the essence of this property was delivered, marrying its mid-century architecture with its rich Hollywood legacy. Since The Garland is a retainer client, collateral is often tweaked, developed and released to allow guests and the surrounding neighborhoods to know what is going on at The Garland and their hip bar/restaurant, The Front Yard. Around 40 pieces are created annually for the brand including: coasters, posters, billboards, customized gifts, holiday cards, magazine spreads, handouts, flyers, patches, mailers and check stuffers.
Celebrating 50 Yeas of Fun!
In 2022 we were tasked with creating a 50th Anniversary logo lockup and system to celebrate The Garland’s iconic anniversary. The mark was inspired by vintage 1970s collateral and was showcased in a number of ways across The Garland, their restaurant The Front Yard, and The Store, which showcases goods made specifically for the hotel as well as products from local artisans and vendors.
